The rules of Digital Udaan 2083: who can apply, how we choose, what the free domain covers, and how we handle your information.
Full terms
1Who can take part
- 1.1The campaign is open to legally registered businesses operating in Nepal.
- 1.2Applicants must submit a valid business registration certificate, PAN and the other required information.
- 1.3Applications must be submitted by business owners or authorized representatives.
- 1.4Priority is given to businesses that mainly operate offline and don't have an established website.
- 1.5Only one application per business will be considered.
2Applications and verification
- 2.1Applications must be submitted through the official form within the announced application period.
- 2.2Kailash Cloud may verify submitted information and request reasonable supporting documents.
- 2.3Applications with false, incomplete, misleading or fraudulent information may be rejected.
- 2.4Not providing requested verification information by the given deadline may lead to disqualification.
3Evaluation and selection
- 3.1Every verified, eligible application is reviewed individually.
- 3.2Applications are scored on the published 100-point merit criteria.
- 3.3A ranked merit list is prepared after evaluation.
- 3.4The 10 highest-ranked eligible applicants are provisionally selected, subject to final verification.
- 3.5Ties are resolved by the published selection policy.
- 3.6Kailash Cloud keeps evaluation records with reasonable confidentiality protections.
- 3.7Applicants may ask for a review of administrative or scoring errors through the campaign email within the stated review period.
4The free domain
- 4.1Each selected business receives one standard .com domain registration for one year at no cost.
- 4.2The benefit covers new, available, non-premium .com registrations only.
- 4.3It does not cover renewals of existing domains, domain transfers, premium names or other extensions.
- 4.4The benefit can't be exchanged for cash, account credit or other services.
- 4.5No hosting subscription or other purchase is required.
- 4.6The domain is registered to the selected business or its authorized representative, using accurate registration details.
5Promotional code
- 5.1Selected applicants may receive a unique, single-use promotional code or another registration method.
- 5.2Codes are valid only for the verified recipient and a qualifying registration.
- 5.3Codes can't be sold, shared, transferred or exchanged.
- 5.4Registration must be completed within the communicated redemption period.
- 5.5Unused benefits may pass to the next eligible applicant on the merit list after the deadline.
6Renewal and expiry
- 6.1Kailash Cloud pays the first year's registration fee only.
- 6.2Renewal from the second year is the domain holder's responsibility.
- 6.3The renewal price is shown before registration (currently Rs. 2,350 a year for .com) and follows the renewal pricing at the time of renewal.
- 6.4No paid renewal is processed without the domain holder's authorization.
- 6.5A domain that isn't renewed may expire, interrupting related services, and may eventually be lost under domain lifecycle rules.
7Ownership and management
- 7.1The selected business or registrant keeps the rights to the registered domain, subject to registry, registrar and ICANN policies.
- 7.2Beneficiaries get standard domain management and DNS features.
- 7.3Transfers follow registrar and ICANN transfer policies.
- 7.4The domain must not be used for unlawful, fraudulent, phishing, malware or other prohibited activity.
8Publicity and success stories
- 8.1Kailash Cloud may invite selected businesses to take part in interviews, photos, videos, testimonials or success stories.
- 8.2Taking part is voluntary and is not a condition of the benefit.
- 8.3Business names, photos, testimonials and other identifying details are published only with permission.
- 8.4Declining has no effect on eligibility or selection.
9Privacy notice
- 9.1Application information is collected to check eligibility, evaluate applications, run the campaign and, where relevant, register domains.
- 9.2Only authorized staff can access sensitive information you submit.
- 9.3Application documents and PAN details are never made public.
- 9.4Information is shared with the domain registration provider only where needed to register the domain or meet legal requirements.
- 9.5Application data is kept only for these purposes and the required retention period, then securely deleted or anonymized.
- 9.6Marketing messages are sent only with separate, optional consent.
10Changes and disputes
- 10.1Kailash Cloud may make reasonable changes to campaign procedures for legal, technical, fraud-prevention or operational reasons.
- 10.2Material changes are published on this page and communicated to affected applicants where practical.
- 10.3Changes won't be applied arbitrarily to the disadvantage of applicants who have already applied.
- 10.4Applicants can ask questions or report suspected evaluation errors at [email protected].
- 10.5These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal and applicable domain registration policies.

Yes. Each of the 10 selected businesses gets one .com registered free for the first year. You don't pay anything, and you don't have to buy hosting or anything else.
Any legally registered business operating in Nepal with a valid PAN, applied for by its owner or an authorized person. Priority goes to businesses that mostly work offline and don't have a website yet.
No. Not before, during or after the campaign. Whether you buy anything from us has no effect on selection.
To confirm each application comes from a genuine, registered Nepali business and to stop duplicate or fake applications. Only our review team sees them, and they're never made public.
Every eligible application is scored out of 100 on four published criteria: need (40), plan for the domain (30), impact (20) and readiness (10). The 10 highest scores are selected after a final check.
No. It isn't first come, first served. Every application received before the deadline is reviewed the same way.
Yes. Social media pages don't count against you. We give priority to businesses that don't have their own website.
Yes. Give us your first and second choice in the form. We check availability before registering, and applying doesn't reserve a name.
You can renew at the normal price, currently Rs. 2,350 a year for .com. We'll remind you before it's due, and nothing is charged without your approval.
Yes. Standard domain transfer rules apply, and the campaign adds no extra lock.
No. The campaign covers the first year of a .com and basic help with it. Hosting, website building and business email are not included.
Only if you separately agree. Taking part in a success story is optional and doesn't affect selection.
With their permission, we may publish the names of the selected businesses. Rankings, documents, PANs and application details are never published.
We'll let you know. If a selected business withdraws or misses the registration deadline, the next applicants on the waiting list are offered the place, in score order.
